Afghanistan as prophetic biblical Edom

inquiry

Dear brothers

In my research work I came across so many things that may refer to
the land of Afghanistan in the prophecies of Isaiah chapter 34 and
other prophecies as mentioned in your research about Edom. I am
inclined to believe that the Edomite population might have been
exiled or migrated and that they settled at last in the land of
Afghanistan, a mountainous country which resembles their former
homeland. The people there are hairy like Esau and look Semetic. But
I failed to find a historical evidence to prove my point. Perhaps I
need your indepth researches to help me trace the origin of the
people of Afghanistan. Please respond. Thank you.

Certainly, the question bears looking into. But here are just a few
initial thoughts before searching the Scriptures.

Generally speaking, the nations concerned in Old Testament prophecy
are those which impinge directly on the political or religious history
of the nation of Israel, and Afghanistan is a longs ways away.

In many senses, Afghanistan is an "artificial" county and, in any
case, a purely modern one. Although the physical region does enter
into ancient secular history as, for instance, in the campaigns of
Alexander, the population now is certainly not what it was then in
terms of genetic relationionships. In fact, genetically, it would be
difficult to say that any nation remains "unmixed" today.

The population there today is not coherent, but composed of many
disparate tribes and people-segments which would be traced back to
differing ancestors in the Table of Nations in Genesis 10. The Uzbeks
are likely Japhetic (Meshech/Tubal?), the Turkmens possibly largely
Hamitic (perhaps Cushite or even "splattered" Canaanites tribes) with
Japhetic elements (Togarmah), the Pashtuns again from another Japhetic
branch (Indo-Aryan: Madai) mixed with Semites (Elam), and so forth.

Even in such specific and detailed prophecies as the "beasts" of
Daniel's four great empires, God tends to take little cognizance of
human political boundaries. Although Afghanistan looms
disproportionately large for us at the present moment, that's
certainly no measure of it's importance in the history of salvation
related to us Scripture.

The Bible is clear that in the last days, the focus of world events
will again be Israel, and especially Jerusalem, which will be made "a
cup of trembling to all the nations." In this context, Afghanistan my
be anonymously included in the Biblical notations of end-days
alliances under the rubric of either "the Kings of the East" (China
and/or India, and their related nations?) or "the Kings of the South"
(Arab-Muslim and or African nations, with their allies?).

In the end, of course, all the nations without exception -- even
including political Israel and, sadly, USAmerica -- will be allied
together agaist the Lord Jesus Christ at the time of His return (Psalm
2, etc.).

My personal perspective on WWIII is that it will simply be the third
act in the ongoing world war begun in the 20th century with the
demolition of the old European order (WWI), settling remaining issues
in the old Latin West (WWII), and proceeding to resulting conflict in
the old Greek East (WWIII). The legs of Rome are awfully long -- the
last of the Caesars, East and West, passed away with the initiation of
the conflict in Act One: Kaiser Wilhelm in the West, and Tzar Nicholas
in the East. Restructuring in Act Two has now brought about the basic
end-time alignments and world-system, which will be confronted by
Christ at His coming.

Brothers
Your comments do not reveal that you understand that the last week
of Daniel has already started and that we are now only two years
before the great Tribulation. I do not know whether you perceive
that the Church will attend the great Tribulation and that there is
no world war III that would take place in the way that happened
before !!
So many Bible interpretors were under the impression that Rosh is
Russia and this is wrong. I am familiar with the old Hebrew that
shows that Rosh means head or leader. Mashek and Tubal are tribes
located in current Turkey which means that Turkey will be mainly
involved together with other Islamic nations like Iran and Libya.
Kings of the East is not meant for China. The gathering against
Israel is all Islamic and it will include nations from the far East.
Warning:
So make yourselves ready, the Biggest famine will hit the Earth
shortly. The Church has to escape to the mountains as the only place
of refuge with store of food and water enough for 4 years at least
when the Beast reveals himself not in the Temple as many these days
tend to believe but in the Sepulcher Church. All the cities of the
world will be hit by the Lord mostly through the Beast. I say again,
make yourselves ready. I shall take care of my community in a
like-manner.
Please consider this matter as serious.

Dear friend,

We certainly have major differences in our view of eschatology. I am
quite disappointed in our discussion as I had hoped for more common
ground from which we could both learn more.

I have lived long enough to see many date-setters come and go. Let's
wait and see if your prophecies prove true or not. I feel quite
certain that you are mistaken in several important areas. As for me I
will stick to the admonition of our Lord Jesus:

"It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has
fixed by his own authority." (Acts 17)

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of
heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.  As were the days of Noah,
so will be the coming of the Son of man.  For as in those days before
the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in
marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,   and they did not
know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the
coming of the Son of man.   Then two men will be in the field; one is
taken and one is left.  Two women will be grinding at the mill; one
is taken and one is left.  Watch therefore, for you do not know on
what day your Lord is coming.  But know this, that if the householder
had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would
have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.
Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an
hour you do not expect. (Matthew 24:36-44)

Sincerely,
