Help me get my life back
I have just freed myself and 3 children from a 24 year domestic 
abuse relationship and I am trying to start my life over but I need 
some help I can't work or get my children to school with out my car. 
I need help. I can deal with all my medical problems and emotional 
ones if I just had my car so I could go to the doctor and church. I 
have already paid 1200.00 on the car. I could' t make the last 
payments and the repossessed it.
  Dear Heavenly Father;
Please Lord God I need a 1000.00 dollars by this Friday October 2 
2001 so I can get my car back pay my ticket and insurance. Please 
help me so I can get a home for my children and me and so I can go 
to work.
I need this by Friday or he will sell me repossessed car please help 
us, In Jesus name,

I am very sorry to hear of your distressing circumstances. I am 
certain God will help you.

Many times I have found that God does not give me what I ask for, but 
what I need most. He never does what I tell Him to do! Many times I 
have a list of urgent matters that can not wait, but instead God 
ignores my list and does something entirely differently.

But in the long run my problems fade away and get resolved. It is 
difficult to get accustomed to a loving, caring God whose "ways are 
beyond finding out."

I do hope you have a circle of close and godly friends and a church 
fellowship of some kind. None of us does well alone. We need each 
other--we are a family and all members of the Body of Christ.

  I don't mean to minimize your urgent needs in a number of areas--our

King David had a season of great trial and distress in his life--he 
was only in his 20's. Saul was trying to kill him and David fled for 
his life. Psalm 34 dates from the period of David's life:

A Psalm of David, when he feigned madness before Abimelech, so that 
he drove him out, and he went away.

I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be 
in my mouth.  My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the afflicted 
hear and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his 
name together! I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered 
me from all my fears. Look to him, and be radiant; so your faces 
shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, 
and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps 
around those who fear him, and delivers them. O taste and see that 
the LORD is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him! O fear 
the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no want!  The 
young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack

evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.  When 
the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears, and delivers them out of 
all their troubles.  The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves 
the crushed in spirit.  Many are the afflictions of the righteous; 
but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; 
not one of them is broken.  Evil shall slay the wicked; and those who 
hate the righteous will be condemned. The LORD redeems the life of 
his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
